Its hard to say what the average size largemouth is, but it is a 15" length limit. You can catch 14-16" bass pretty consistently. There are also a large number of bass in the 4-8 lb range. I fished a tournament here with 20 or so boats, and there were 5 or 6 fish weighed in over 6 lbs. My biggest on the lake is 7 1/2 lbs, but I have seen some 8 lb+ bass caught. This is an actual circuit, with 12 tournaments. There will be a "Classic" at the end of the year, which only the top fisherman of the year according to points, and any tournament winners will be qualified to fish. This is the first year for the circuit, but there has been a lot of interest, and we are expecting a great turnout. The lake is 765 acres, with a maximum depth of 54 ft. There is a 115 hp limit on this lake. Pick your own partner, $40 per boat to fish. Top 3 places payout, plus Big Bass of the tournament. We will pay out more places if there are a large number of boats. First tournament is April 6th at 7 AM. Registration will begin at the boat ramp at 6 AM. Everything else should be covered on the website. The "RULES" section should tell you everything you need to know. You can also join our facebook group, "Otter Lake Tournament Series." I hope this helps, and I hope to see you there. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask. Levi Rosentreter
Whats the average size large mouth? Is the first year for this tournament? Size of lake and depth? Any input would be appreciated. Not familiar with anything about it. Is there lodging close to lake? I am about an hour and a half away. Thanks
